My name is Sarah Jen and I am a younger bisexual woman and doctoral candidate at the University of Washington School of Social Work. I am currently recruiting participants for my dissertation, which will include 1-2 hour in-person interviews with 15-20 bisexual women age 70 and older in the Seattle area. Interviews can be arranged in any location of the participant’s choosing. The study will generally explore bisexual women’s life stories, how they came to identify as bisexual, and what bisexuality means to them. Participants will receive $20 to compensate their invested time and energy. The only requirements for inclusion are that participants currently identify as a woman, currently identify as bisexual, and are 70 or older. Any interested folks can reach out to me by email (srjen@uw.edu) or phone (616-334-6594). Please see Flyer for additional details.

Puget Sound Old Lesbians Organizing for Change (PSOLOC) coordinates an Oral History Project. Volunteers would be welcome.

The Adult Family Home Council is creating a speaker’s bureau for people that would be willing to give trainings to Adult Family Home Providers and their caregivers throughout the State of Washington. If you are interested, or know someone who might be, please use this link to apply.

-Valid ID that can be used to verify legal age (at least 21 years of age) to enter the bars
-Reliable personal transportation, insurance and a valid driver?s license to be used for study travel
-Candidates with Field Interviewing and Data Collection experience are encouraged to apply
-Access to password protected Wi-Fi for transmitting data
-Strong comfort level using electronic handheld devices
-Only candidates with proven reliability in adhering to time commitments, scheduled shifts, and assigned work hours will be considered

Hours and Pay Rate:
-This position falls under the Services Contract Act (SCA). Hourly wage will be determined based on the county in which work is being performed
-Short-term, part-time that is expected to last for approximately 2 weeks sometime between February and May. Additional work may be available depending on data collection and project needs
-Flexible schedule
-Available to work 5 nights a week, primarily weekends (majority of the work will be on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights, 9 PM ? 2 AM)

I look forward to hearing back from you!
